Title of my next novel is chosen - CATCHING THE TIDE

I am pleased to announce that my literary agent, Margaret Hanbury of The Hanbury Agency, my publishers at Headline and I have decided upon the title of my next novel.

CATCHING THE TIDE will be published in hardback in Spring 2011.

Here is a brief outline of the plot:

1933. Tessa and Frederica Nicolson enjoy one last idyllic summer at the beautiful Villa Millefiore, overlooking Florence.

Four years later, Italy is a distant memory and Tessa is revelling in the glamour and excitement of modelling in London. Unconventional and impulsive, she believes love is just a game, until a passionate affair with married author Milo Rycroft leads to tragic consequences. In the wake of disaster, Tessa returns to Florence in the hope of escaping the past. Missing her sister desperately, Freddie travels to Italy, where she is swept up in adventure, danger and romance, and has a chance encounter that will change her life.

With the outbreak of World War Two, the sisters are separated. Both Tessa and Freddie must fight for their own survival and happiness, while they wonder whether they will ever see each other again...

Dutch and German jackets for THE ITALIAN LOVER revealed

I am very pleased to reveal the new covers for the Dutch and German editions of my forthcoming novel The Italian Lover, which will be published next year. The hardcover edition will be published in the UK in February 2011 with the paperback planned for September 2011.
